Virginia Felleman has been an activist for most of her life. During her time as a Department Chair at Cazenoiva College, she worked on several efforts to increase educational and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In her personal life, Virginia engaged in women’s rights advocacy and was honored by the National Organization for Women (NOW) in the 1990s.
In 1994 Virginia joined the board of AccessCNY legacy agency Enable and she has been (in her words) a “proud board member” ever since.

Q: Who is someone you admire and why do you admire them?
A: “I admired Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who would not let societal biases that created barricades keep her from achieving her goals. Her perseverance, good judgement and humanistic nature made her a true heroine for me and so many others.”
