David Clark Learning Center

Since 1995 the David Clark Learning Center (DCLC) has provided high quality day programming for adults with acquired brain injuries (ABI), sometimes referred to as traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

The center is open five days per week and provides a variety of opportunities and supports for ABI survivors. As a member driven program, the participants at the DCLC decide on activities together. This creates a friendly, creative and empowering environment for people with ABIs to learn and grow together.

Locally, people know the David Clark Learning Center for its state-of-the-art music and art programming. Research has shown that creative activities can help rebuild motor skills and aid in memory recovery after brain injury, so DCLC members often explore different artistic mediums such as painting, singing and playing instruments.

In recent years the DCLC band has performed at community events and many members have had their art displayed in museums across the state. Take a look at some of the David Clark Learning Center’s member art below!
