Donor Advised Funds

AccessCNY works with many donors who give through Donor Advised Funds or DAF. 

 These funds are managed by a third party and allow you the donor to direct contributions to AccessCNY or other non-profits. It’s a great way to simplify your giving. 

 A DAF is a centralized tool that lets the donor create an account where you receive an immediate tax deduction for gifts into your fund. You can then choose to make one-time or recurring gifts to AccessCNY or your charity of choice through your DAF. Money is held in your fund until you choose to donate, but you receive an immediate tax deduction for deposits into your fund. 

Setting up a DAF is quick and easy and just takes some simple paperwork through a fund administrator such as the Central New York Community Foundation or a financial advisor. The fund manager handles all the paperwork and reduces the administrative burden of setting up a private foundation.
